Can I get access at any time?
Yes. Access is 24 hours. You will need to bring I.D. with you.
Is there anything I cannot store?
Yes. You may not store anything that is illegal to be in possession
of, under UK law. You must not store flammable items, such as petrol
or gas bottles. Animals and foodstuffs are also prohibited.
Can I purchase packing materials
from you?
Yes. Standard packing materials are usually available. If you require
specialist materials, we can either order them for you or direct you
to another supplier.
Is there a problem with condensation?
Condensation is quite rare. However, if you have any concerns, you can
put moisture absorbers into the unit.
Will I need a van?
That depends on your storage contract. If you will be in storage for
3 months or more, you may be offered the free use of a van and driver
to move you in. Ask for details when you contact us.
Do you have fork lifts if necessary?
Yes.
Can you provide transport into
storage?
Yes. We can supply a free van and driver if you commit in writing to
at least 3 calendar months storage and are within 15 miles of our facility.
Can you provide transport out of
storage?
Yes. Ask for a quote.
Are there any discounts?
Yes. Up to 20% for advance payment for "committed in writing"
long periods of storage.
Can I run a business from my container?
Yes. In some circumstances. Ask a member of Staff
Can I sublet my container?
Only if agreed in writing with A-Z Self Storage (part of A-Z Moving
& Storage)
Can I alter my container in any
way?
No. Unless agreed in writing by A-Z Self Storage.
Will you ever enter my container?
Not under normal circumstances. Only in emergencies, if repairs are
necessary, or you are in arrears with your payments.
What happens if my payment is late?
You will be charged 10% of your monthly rental fee or £10, whichever
is greater. You will also be charged interest 10% above the Bank of
England base for as long as you are in arrears. You may also be given
notice to remove your goods from A-Z Self Storage within 7 days. If
you do not clear your arrears and charges incurred you will be given
28 days notice of disposal of your goods in writing to the address or
email we have on record and pursued through the court for the costs
incurred.
How do I pay?
Credit, Debit Card, Standing Order or Cash.
When do I pay?
The first of each month, one Calender month in advance.
What happens if I move in on a
different date to the payment date?
Your first payment is only to the end of that particular Month. If you
move in & there are less than 7 days before the end of the Month
you will be required to pay to the end of that Month as well as the
next month.
What if the maximum period I can
have my goods in storage?
As long as you want.
What is the minumum period?
14 days.
What notice do I need to give?
14 days.
How do I give my notice?
In writing, by email or post.
What happens if I move out before
the end of the month?
You will be charged till the end of the week you return the key.
When do I receive any refunds due
to me?
No later than 14 days after handing the key back.
Do I have to pay a deposit for
my storage?
No - just the days until the end of the month you move your goods in,
unless there are less than 7, in which case you will pay for those days
and the following Calender month. We will need a refundable deposit
for your key if you want access to your belongings (Self Storage).
Are there any hidden costs?
No. But you will be charged for any damage to the Storage Container
(save reasonable wear and tear for the period you store your goods)
You will also be charged for the clearing of any mess that you leave
or costs incurred to dispose of any items left.
